Trama
Ingrid and Martha have been friends for years. Ingrid is a successful writer whose latest book recounts her inability to understand and accept death. Martha was a war correspondent and now she has a cancer that could be cured with experimental therapy. What she would like is not to die alone, and since her relationship with her daughter seems irretrievably compromised she asks Ingrid to stay in the room next to hers when she decides to "leave the party".
